With the update v20294 spawn seed was renamed to spawn code to avoid confusion.

Spawn code allows players to spawn as Eve in the same location. There's no way to figure out a spawn code from the map location.

Use[]

A big "2HOL" is shown at the top left of the screen. Underneath, there are options to spawn. The first one is to play with friends or solo. Below it, the game asks "Where to spawn" and offers two options: "Specific" and "Random". The option to spawn specific is chosen. In the middle of the screen there are options to use a spawn code or a family name. To the left, there's a locked bar with an exclamation mark next to it. On the right side of the screen, there are links to settings and other websites.

Spawn settings on the main screen

To use a spawn code, choose "SPECIFIC" on the main screen under the question "WHERE TO SPAWN?". In the middle of the screen, you have two options. Choose "USE SPAWN CODE". Click the bar on the left side, then click the exclamation mark to unlock the field. Write anything you want in the bar to set a spawn code. The spawn code is case sensitive.

When a spawn code is set, it will keep you from spawning as a baby and instead will spawn you as a Eve in a custom location. To be able to spawn as a baby, choose "RANDOM" or "SPECIFY FAMILY NAME" and write the family name in the box to be born there as long as there are any fertile women available.

In the rare occasions that there are no fertile women available on the server, you will be born in the Public Town at the center of the map. You can recognize it by a 2hol monument with two mammoths and a big, yellow 2.

Information[]

Spawn codes are a series of characters that define your spawn point. They are used by players to spawn always at the same position, what makes possible to them to easily spawn in any location within the boundaries of the spawn box given they have a spawn code to that location.

Players can use spawn codes to create custom spawn points that can be used to set up private bases and closed cities, but can also be used to generate a reliable city spawn point which can then make the spawn code public to ease the influx of players.

Spawn codes are immutable and once a player have a spawn code, they will always be able to spawn in that location, so it is a good practice to not share the spawn code in a public space, keeping it only to trusted people. Spawn codes also beneficiates the players who want to start public town, as they can easily distribute the spawn code to another people.

A spawn code can also be cracked, the same as a password can be. There is currently 900.000.000 places you can spawn, so guessing a spawn code would be highly improbable, but obvious spawn codes like you username, simple words or small numbers may eventually be discovered and once a person has encountered a spawn code, they can spawn there and even make it public.

Spawn codes resemble passwords in a lot of ways and should be treated as such.

Spawn box[]

The Spawn Box is the region players can spawn in using a custom seed. This region area is 30,0002 tiles as of the release of v20294, and is centered on True spawn which is the coordinate [0, 0]. The size of this region can be updated by an Admin without restarting the game server, but doing so would change the location that previously used spawn codes would spawn the player at.

Withingthis 30,0002 tiles boundary players can spawn at the coordinates of [-15000, -15000] to [15000, 15000]. In game, there is no border at this point, players can freely play beyond it.
